Frost & Sullivan Ranks Array Networks as #2 in Greater China´s Application Delivery Controller Market

Array’s success in enterprise application delivery results in largest market share growth in Greater China’s ADC market

Milpitas, CA - July 8, 2009 - Array Networks Inc., a global leader in enterprise secure application delivery, was ranked one of the top two providers of application delivery controllers in Greater China market consisting of China, Hong Kong and Taiwan according to a Frost & Sullivan study. With the largest market share growth in the Greater China application delivery controller (ADC) market, Array maintains its leading position by successfully serving the enterprise sector’s growing application delivery needs, most recently with the APV (AppVelocity) series of scalable ADCs.

Frost & Sullivan, a global consulting firm, analyzed the market share, competitive landscape, market trends, and growth opportunities for ADC markets for CY2008 within the APAC regions and recognized Array’s continued success in this market. According to the report, the Greater China ADC market continued its growth trend this year with a market size of $104.4 million in 2008 - up from $81.5 million in 2007. Array Networks garnered 12.5% of all Greater China ADC sales, demonstrating a year-on-year growth of 68.5% in the Greater China market. Frost & Sullivan forecasts that the Greater China ADC market is poised for continued growth with an estimated CAGR of 17.6% (2009-2015), reaching a market size of $324.8 million in 2015.

Array’s growth in 2008 was fueled by the launch of the environmentally-friendly APV (AppVelocity) series of application delivery controllers. The APV series helps enterprises meet the demand for increased performance and availability for applications and web sites. The new ADCs feature an application-fluent, high-availability platform that improves performance by reducing bandwidth and server overhead while using 60% less power.

“The ADC market is constantly evolving as enterprises are looking for increasingly sophisticated and scalable application delivery solutions,” said Michael Zhao, president and CEO, Array Networks. “Array’s success lies in our ability to stay ahead of the curve and anticipate. As a result, we launched highly scalable APV series in 2008 and recently launched the APV6200, designed for large data centers, virtualization, cloud computing, service providers and multi-media services.”

The APV6200 is the first environmentally-friendly ADC to break the 10Gbps+ barrier. Built on Array’s SpeedCore Architecture, the APV6200 is optimized for Web 2.0 applications, multi-media services and hosted cloud centric applications.
