Array APV Series Application Delivery Controllers are an ideal solution for delivering application scalability and performance in virtual environments and for flexibly adding or removing virtual machines based on traffic load and health. Array APV appliances help IT manage how traffic is routed to applications in order to increase business agility and maximize investments in software, hardware and support. Application Virtualization

Array APV Series Application Delivery Controllers support multiple virtual IP addresses, each running in isolation on the same physical hardware. Each of these application delivery controller instances is capable of supporting any and all APV Series application availability, acceleration and security features. Each virtual IP provides a single public IP address to route users to various servers based on flexible application level content routing policies, giving IT the ability to mix and match server resources based on CPU, memory, traffic load, application type and user type.

2048-Bit SSL Encryption

Following NIST recommendations for 2011, certificate authorities have transitioned to 2048-bit keys. Although more secure, 2048-bit keys cause a 5x reduction in SSL TPS that can impact both application performance and cost. Array APV 600 Series appliances support scalable, high-performance 2048-bit SSL acceleration and unbeatable price-performance to offset transition costs and improve security without impacting performance.

IPv6 Migration

APV Series appliances address the challenge of dwindling IPv4 addresses by functioning as a v4 to v6 translator in the network. Placing dual stack capability next to applications, developers can modify applications to be v6 compliant without modifying the network. Similarly, a network manager could modify the network without touching applications. Where there is a need for both, APV appliances are capable of simultaneous v6 to v4 and v4 to v6 translation at the application layer.

10-Gigabit Ethernet

APV Series appliances support flexible combinations of Gigabit and 10-Gigabit Ethernet over copper, SFP fiber and SFP+ fiber to provide high performance connectivity essential for next-generation networks and demanding data center environments.
