Engineering

Position: Software Development Engineer


Array Networks (www.arraynetworks.net) is one of the hottest, profitable pre-IPO companies in Silicon Valley. Responsibilities:

You will be an integral part of the engineering team and participate in all aspects of software development/support, including requirement analysis, architecture/design, coding, testing, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for researching and debugging customer issues, designing and developing security software, as well as performing unit-level and integration-level testing of software components and systems. You will also further your domain expertise in all aspects of the security/access control and application content delivery markets.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in CS, EE, CE or related area
  • Strong C/C++/Java programming with multi-threading experience in FreeBSD/Windows/MacOS/Linux 
  • Experience with scalability, performance, and redundancy preferred 
  • Experience in network programming (TCP, IP, HTTP knowledge preferred but at least socket-level programming is a must) 
  • Good knowledge of data structures and algorithms 
  • Experience with multiprocessor systems is a plus 
  • Practical problem analysis and solving skills 
  • Committed to exacting quality standards and detail-oriented 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to communicate effectively across all functional groups within the organization and with customers. Will need to work with development team in Beijing on a daily basis -- Mandarin speaking ability a plus
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Tools such as shell scripts, Perl, and Python are a plus

Position: Mobile Developer

Position: Test Engineer


Functions:

Plans, develops, and conducts tests on electronic components, products, and systems, applying knowledge and principles of electronic theory, testing methodology and procedures, and electronic engineering.

Reports to:

Vice President of Operations

Education

  • Educational requirements include a bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering with concentration on Software.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to write test script for Array’s product to ensure proper functionality before the product is used or sold.
  • Plan testing of new feature development
  • Automated testing
  • Support and improve our tools for continuous build, automated testing and release management.
  • Coordinate with product management, engineering and operations.

Skills

  • Skills include the ability to read engineering schematics, as well as previous experience in design and development engineering.
  • Ability to write test script for Array’s product to ensure proper functionality before the product is used or sold.
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, automated tools, and best practice
  •  Experience with box testing back-end systems, databases, and multi-tier architectures
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  •  Knowledge of common scripting languages: Python, PHP, Perl /and shell scripting.
  • Ability to develop automation both from scratch and from common automation platforms and continues integration systems like Hudson/Jenkins
  • Working knowledge of SQL, MySQL database usage and Data Warehousing concept
  • Some experience programming in object-oriented languages (Java preferred)
  •  Experience in designing and implementing strategies for performance testing, load testing, and crash-recovery testing of large-scale, data-centric web products is highly
    desired.
  • Knowledge and experience with UNIX and Windows software development tools utilized in building Internet-enabled systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Marketing

Position: Business Development Manager


The Manager, Strategic Alliances, will lead the formulation and execution of a partnership strategy that supports Array’s goal of embedding itself – whether it be products and/or Intellectual Property - into the systems, services, software and solutions offered by premier potential OEM partners. This person will be responsible for developing the relevant executive relationships at the potential OEMs as well as having an extremely tight cross-departmental alignment within Array, necessary to execute this strategy effectively.

The strategy and output driven by the person in this role will include and not be limited to the following elements across Array’s entire portfolio: solution or reference architecture and design definition, custom R&D, integrated solutions, resale and/or OEM solutions. This person will need to work effectively with a broad set of stakeholders inside Array and at targeted OEM partners in order to drive and manage all relevant aspects of this partnership. Internal stakeholders will include product development, product management, operations, finance, marketing and sales. During the formation stage of each initiative the Manager will be required to develop a compelling business case and execution plan and, once approved, negotiate a corresponding agreement with the OEM partners and execute accordingly.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Formulate a winning strategy and execution plan to enable Array to drive revenue growth through incorporating Array across potential OEM targets’ solutions portfolio. This strategy should include:

    - Identification of highest priority initiative(s) with greatest potential for market share capture and revenue result for both Array and OEM partner(s)
    - Compelling value propositions for both Array and OEM partner(s) for each targeted initiative
    - Detailed business case that demonstrates value creation for both Array and OEM partner(s), including ROI, profitability and 3-year growth targets
    - Specification of end-to-end operational requirements necessary to make each targeted initiative achievable and successful

  • Implement and execute that strategy by developing executive level relationships with OEM partner(s), driving agreement within Array and OEM partner(s) around each specific initiative, and both leading the implementation and measuring the success – with hard quarterly metrics - of that initiative

    - Required 10+ years of experience with at least 5 years in Business Development, with Masters degree or a MBA.
